I turned Javscript off, did Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C and pasted everything into an excel sheet.

They have! It's still hard to read, but there are prompts now.

ayrt I've never treasured a +1 as much as I do this one.

YT is my fandom participation these days. I enjoy knowing that around the world, there are people like me, cursing their computers and trying to get over the 1,000 word mark or trying to reign in their 10k monster. The getting fic is awesome too, especially since my canons tend to be microscopic.

...now I know why it felt so rushed.

A chance to lure people into my rare fandoms by writing amazing fic for them
Tradition because I've done it for a decade
Community because all of my friends do it

I'm not doing Yuletide, but in a letter someone's requested exactly the fic I'm halfway through writing. Can I still treat them even if I'm not signed up?

Me. I tend to run contrary to fandom wrt what ships I like writing, so I'm letter-stalking in hopes of not having to disappoint anyone/grit my teeth through writing something I hate.

Yup! My advice would be just to wait to gift it to them for a decent amount of time, so that their assigned writer has a chance to write and gift their fic, too!

I like that I get prompts to work with, and that someone else might write a fic I want that I'm incapable of writing myself. That's about it.

Or wait, is the requester trying to say that the Fujiwaras don't care that Natsume is probably mentally ill, instead of not caring that he was treated badly? That, I agree with, but the phrasing is kind of confusing.

Oh, Coal. I've never really understood people who complained about forgetting to nominate something. One week should be enough to remember! And anyway, if you really wanted to nominate a fandom, you'd have wrote it down somewhere, right? Well, now I'm sorry for all the people I've judged. I completely forgot about a very dear fandom of mine >:( I've been trying to feel positive about the other ones I'm planning to request, but I keep thinking about Sad Forgotten Tiny Fandom.

(I'm kind of dying from the awesome of the Bottom prompt, tbh, because Richie and Eddie fighting the zombie apocalypse would be HILARIOUS. I'm pretty sure I couldn't write it but omg I really want tooooo. :D)

Haha, YANA. This is actually the first year I forgot... a lot of fandoms. Like, four. I have no idea how that happened. After the tag set closed, I kept checking it, kinda hoping that I'd suddenly gain the ability to magically hack it so I could include my fandoms. ;_;

+1! I'd never even thought about Bottom fic, but now I want nothing more than to read that, wow.

I took one perennially popular fandom - Pet Shop of Horrors - off my noms, thinking that there was no way that someone else wouldn't include it...

I'd definitely thought about Bottom fic before, but never about combining it with a zombie apocalypse! CLEARLY I SHOULD HAVE.

There's no chance I'll get it finished any time soon, so there's no worry about that. It's a tiny fandom so I wuod be incredibly excited if someone else wrote a fic too.

I just finishing up my DYW letter when I noticed a particular theme in my requests, which made me realize I'd forgotten a fandom that left me screaming with glee when an installment was released earlier this year and I DID write it down but somehow... forgot to nominate it. I honestly don't know how that happened. /o\

Someone nominated Archie Comics and I want to see their letter in case they've requested Betty/Veronica and I can write ALL THE FIC for them.
