The short version is that he prioritizes writing fic based on his own very odd headcanons over what his recipient actually wants. Including writing vore fic for a vegan.

It wasn't vore, but it involved the bloody massacre and eating of an animal, including organ meat.

Untherius is the kind of guy who writes unasked for AUs of children's book characters as scheming clawed alien geneticists or disney princesses mutating into the sun. He writes graphic blood-guzzling animal murder for vegans and raptor/human mutant eggbaby birth scenes for people who ask for no kidfic.

And he's so proud of his good works that he just can't understand why his recips don't seem to love them as much as he does.

And he writes long, self-serving essays about his 'creative process' and posts them to the Yuletide community. He's fine as a recip but doesn't seem to handle concrit well - which is interesting because he heavily deals it out to people he feedbacks.

Judging from things he's said to his recips in other exchanges he's fairly bitter about his Yuletide reputation and blames his recips for not specifying they didn't want dewclaws, organ-eating, etc.

When not writing, he's busy writing mermaid AUs for the MCU.

Part of me wonders if he's yet another sockpuppet for teh_no.

Coal goes off about him like he's Winterfox, but imo the dude's one of those extremely socially tone deaf sorts and operates in his own alien logic. From what I heard, he's more aware now of what he shouldn't be doing and seems to be making attempts to tailor more toward his recip's wants. But uh... idk how successful he is at that.

He seems to think that unasked for concrit = positive feedback - which, again, I think is a fannish cultural thing because in some circles people used to concrit left and right but in the recent few years, there's been a huge pushback against that where concrit shouldn't be given without it requested first. So... idk.

I find him tolerable because I don't think he means bad. He's not one of those types that aggressively writes coal for people on purpose. Then again, I never received one of his fic as a surprise gift, so ymmv.

Oh, I agree, he's definitely a socially clueless cat piss man. But whether he means bad or not, he still hands out spectacular coal every year and I don't think he'll stop unless the mods ever sack up and ban him.

I think they probably haven't because he'd just sock up and write under a different name.

It'd never work. His writing, and I'm including both his fiction and essays-about-my-thought-process, is as distinctive as a fingerprint.

Now there's a _coal game! When stories go up, we can play "spot Untherius", and see who's the first person to correctly spot his story (or stories). :D

Tell the mods you want him. I'm serious. They'd probably love to find someone to take the bullet.
