I mean, there are definitely worse prompts, and if I liked kpop at all, I'd probably be fine with it (the same requester has as a suggestion for Mulan a Temeraire AU that I might have to treat, because my brain grabbed it and went YES), but... I know nothing about kpop, and have no interest in learning about it. And that's their only suggestion for that fandom. If I matched them on this and didn't know another fandom they had, I'd have to go full ODAO, and I really try not to do that. I'd rather a blank sign-up.

See, in theory I'd love to read something like that. I'd hate to get it as my only prompt, though, because I feel like I'm not knowledgeable enough about the K-pop idol world to write it accurately. (If they were asking for a J-pop AU, on the other hand, they'd probably have themselves a treat this year...)

They do have something about Asian pop training camps! Idk if that's a jpop thing at all, but if it is, there's hope, coalie!

My problem is I don't like anything even adjacent to kpop, so I look at that request and just no.

I have avoided offering fairy tales since it seems like every year there's at least one odd request.
