Peer pressure or cheerleading?

This is the post for all of you who write better if they don't feel alone.

Monday anon wrote just about 1600 words, for 3800 overall on the main fic! I've written medium-to-long fics in the past, so I was hoping this one would get up there too but worried that the pacing felt like "and then they just arrived at the place; and then they picked a fight with the bad guys under lucky circumstances; and then the contrived plot fell into place so that...thematic things could go down." At this point I think it'll be decent though even if my transitions are clunky.

Back on track after life sidelined me for a while. :/

I've decided that scene count is a better indication of progress for me, so as of Thurs I have 4 of 20 scenes written for my assigned fic (about 2570 words). I'm going to try for an average of 2-3 scenes/day to get me to the finished draft by the end of the month.

One more scene down, so I'm at 5 of 20. Tinkered with a few others, and massaged the plot a little. Total main assignment word count = 3080.

After two days of nearly nothing while I planned and rearranged things, I had a very productive day.

I've passed my "pledge" goal of 30K words and am now shooting for either 45K or the end of the fic I'm currently working on, whichever comes first. I think I've only got about 5-8K of story left to write, but I've been surprised before...

Thanks. It's really helped me to keep a spreadsheet where I could track my progress, day by day. I have no idea why, but I'm writing an insane amount of fic for Yuletide this year.

Hello, my fellow writing coalies! :D

I haven't done much writing outside of write-ins...until today! :DDD I finished my banged-outline! Woohoo!! XD It's currently at 3k long. I still estimate the final fic to be around 7,500. This might be my shortest Yuletide fic EVAR OMG!

I'm not giving up on my promised one treat, either. There's still just under a month to write!

I think I may finish my last fic before the 30th. (Crossing fingers.) Did a lot of writing now because I won't be doing any over Thanksgiving.

Things are moving along well here! Wrote 1100 words each on two fics--a treat for my recip, and a non-Yuletide fic that I want to finish by the end of the month and/or before I do any more Yule stuff. I think it'll be suitably epic in scope for me to be satisfied with :P just don't know exactly what else I want to include before the ending, and in what order.

I don't remember how many I promised to do, but I've done none so far. I was hoping to have time over Thanksgiving break, but now I'm afraid I won't have the time. December it is!
