Monday anon wrote just about 1600 words, for 3800 overall on the main fic! I've written medium-to-long fics in the past, so I was hoping this one would get up there too but worried that the pacing felt like "and then they just arrived at the place; and then they picked a fight with the bad guys under lucky circumstances; and then the contrived plot fell into place so that...thematic things could go down." At this point I think it'll be decent though even if my transitions are clunky.

Back on track after life sidelined me for a while. :/

I've decided that scene count is a better indication of progress for me, so as of Thurs I have 4 of 20 scenes written for my assigned fic (about 2570 words). I'm going to try for an average of 2-3 scenes/day to get me to the finished draft by the end of the month.

After two days of nearly nothing while I planned and rearranged things, I had a very productive day.

wrote: 3888 words
cumulative total: 31,963

I've passed my "pledge" goal of 30K words and am now shooting for either 45K or the end of the fic I'm currently working on, whichever comes first. I think I've only got about 5-8K of story left to write, but I've been surprised before...

Thanks. It's really helped me to keep a spreadsheet where I could track my progress, day by day. I have no idea why, but I'm writing an insane amount of fic for Yuletide this year.
