Peer pressure or cheerleading?

This is the post for all of you who write better if they don't feel alone.

A coalie said somewhere that if you write 20 words a day you can get your fic finished by reveals.

So go on. Write twenty words of your main assignment, with fandom-identifying stuff redacted, obviously,

She takes a deep breath.

"I think I'm going to go back," she says, and it's the future is open to her again. She is suddenly dizzy with anticipation.

I'll probably do 50 for this, because I want to have my fic done before the default deadline, but I love the idea! I will return. Once my recipient has posted their letter. (It's a placeholder that they promise to have filled before signups go out. I'm giving them the extra few days until November 1 before I start writing.) Wish me luck.

Aagh, forgot about this! Anyway, my recipient posted their full letter three days ago, and I have 156 words written, so it's been going pretty well. I'm only posting the first sentence, because there is no way whatsoever to clear out the fandom information for pretty much anything after that and keep it coherent.

"It was a rainy summer day when X moved in with Y."

I know, it's not exactly compelling. I promise it's more interesting in context. Will return with updates at various points throughout the next two months!

The [] looks at her with encouragingly, and then [] in amusement when she makes a rude gesture at it. "You could be of assistance, you know."

"Did you really think I would?" C asked. "Come flying, I mean?"

N laughed. "Of course not! I never believed all that, you know. I just thought it would amuse you to remember."

She felt a funny twinge in her chest. As a child, she hadn't believed C's claims that she could do magic. But she'd almost believed that C was magic - wonderful and original and strange.
