Happy December 24!

It is actually December 25 where I am right now. Well, I wrote fic 2 for my recipient, so that's something. I am a bit sad about all the other treats I wanted to write - but I did the best I could for my assigned reader. So that's good.

I'm trying to finish up my treat before holiday obligations whisk me away... might have to be a Madness Treat after all, though! 3650 words AND NO PORN B BUT CLOSE the sex will only be about 1k so I'm in the home stretch!! Two hours of really solid writing should do it, I know it...!!

Anyone else working today, just out of interest? I'm supposed to be helping a gaggle of preteens make mince pies and a gingerbread house and of course my brother (the dad of two of the girls) who volunteered me for the job hasn't bothered to get anything off the shopping list I sent him last week. So it looks like I might have to finish off a couple things as NYRs instead.

I managed to sort out the problem I had with my ending, though - it still feels a bit cheesy but it works - so getting some distance was pretty useful after all.

Yep, Snow here, working hard to put the smut in her porn gift at this point. It's really going to end up like, 3/4s not porn... that's what I get for trying to make an canon-setting AU that makes sense instead of glossing over it and just going "AND NOW PORN"

I'm awake again and ready to edit this treat - I think this is going to be the last one for me this year, unfortunately. I'd love to write more, but with the collection scheduled to open at midnight UTC and me having some afternoon plans, I just won't have the time. Shame. But it has been so lovely writing with all of you coalies over the past few days!

Yesterday I edited a treat and put a final polish on my assigned fic. Then I tried to find something else to treat but the frazzled need to find something quick before the deadline meant I couldn't settle on one thing:( I have four treats started so today is a race to see how much I can finish and edit before the deadline. Wish me luck!

Thanks. I did manage to finish one treat, but that's it. Now I have to wait a couple of hours to post it because my laptop has an app to block me from fun sites when I'm supposed to be working. (I'm posting from my tablet).

Snow here! Finished up my holiday baking chores for the day, yaaay! Leaving me free to write up almost up until the deadline (hopefully with some time for editing!). 4k now... and still no porn... but its coming...!! (that feel when treats spiral out of control).

LIPS TOUCHED, THANK GOD. It's finally happening!! My part of the holiday feast is always dessert, so this time I'm going with a time-tested apple crisp and trying out a new pecan pie recipe.

Happy Holiday everybody!

I just typed the last words of the treat-that-would-not-die. From 2,400 yesterday or the day before to 6,900 words in the end. It was too much fun, and the pressure is fun, but wow, what was I doing? I hope it makes the recip happy!

So I've got 5 stories posted that I really should proofread carefully before doing anything else. I hope to have time to do another short full-length treat before the collection closes, but if not, there's always Madness, I guess.

Way to go everybody who's been writing and posting and Yuletiding! 3 more hours to go (rubs hands together for my own gift stories)!

Good job, Challenger! I feel you on the treat that won't die. I remember posting in this very thread about this "1-2k" treat. I'm amount to brush 6k and it still needs some added scenes and additional polishing!! Oh boy
