That's good to know. I'm defaulting my sock on purpose for two fics and Morbane will never be able to connect the two accounts.

Ah, but then your sock is not behaving nicely.

Exactly. I mean, why would they really care? I think of all the potential ban-triggers mentioned this year, that's the one they give the least of a shit about. If a sign-up writes her assignment and doesn't cause any kind of wank, why would they really care if it's a second sign-up for someone else? They wouldn't. None of this chick's ten socks would have been found out if she hadn't fucked up, because they'd have had no reason to even look into them.

The no-posting-placeholders-at-deadline thing, that's the one I'll bet they care deeply about, and that's the one they're going to spend time on, and I don't blame them.

I would imagine they're only going to check the assignment fics rather than scanning every posted treat, but it still seems like a huge undertaking to me. Yet, it will guarantee that no one gets a lorem ipsum or a Yuletide letter pasted five times. How they'll determine whether a story is finished or not, though, I don't know. They can't possibly read every story. I guess they're going to scan pretty well.

If she'd habitually defaulted six out of ten or whatever it was only a matter of time. It's the bad faith and no intent to give anything back that's fucked her. If there was a record of all her socks completing their assignments the pitchforks wouldn't be out.

I would imagine that at deadline, they'll probably carefully check the fics of anyone who's previously been a problem. If they have access to IP numbers, then I'd assume they would also check anyone using the same IP as a previous problem. Next step that I would take is to check the stories of anyone who is a first timer or who has never submitted a story before.
