Looks like this year everything will happen a lot sooner. But don't worry, the best time to think about yt gifts is when your still sitting at the beach or around a pool with a cold cocktail in your hand... right?

Yeah I don't care either way (not my fandom; not my problem) but the wank over hockey seems even more OTT considering it doesn't get an OTT number of fic at all. There aren't 500 people signing up to request hockey, they aren't posting 500 fics to the collection. All the angst over it the first year proved to be moot when hockey didn't invade Yuletide.

Wanking over the principal of it all is fun is you like being angry I guess but...if hockey was super huge full of sneaky rule breaking sneakers it would have a larger Yuletide presence and the juggernauts would sneak in as the stars of ships. Reality has shown it's like 10 people writing the less written ships. People who are in hockey fandom and don't have rare ships or just don't want them for Yuletide...don't request them for Yuletide.
