I had the title for this thread since before I learned that George Michael passed away. I originally wanted to use it for the post that would be left for discussion till next yt season.

This title isn't meant to mock, but to honour George Michael. My mother was a big fan since the early Wham! days and I grew up to his music. And I myself must have driven my mid-wife crazy by having the two discs from the Ladies & Gentlemen record on repeat during labour 18 years ago.

I don't see it as a competition exactly, but it's worked out kind of awkwardly for me this year with the treat I wrote (I didn't participate myself, so no assignment).

Treat #1:
Barely over 1000 words, and the recip loved it and wrote a long comment for. It's been recced around a bit, and has a nice number of comments and kudos. Versus her official gift, which is over 10k and she wrote a 2 sentence comment for (It has no other comments). I haven't read it since I don't know the fandom, but I feel a bit odd and kind of cringy for stealing their thunder nonetheless.

If anyone is available to help, could the fandoms "Archie Comics" and "Archie Comics & Related Fandoms" be combined?

The issue is that Archie Comics is a comic publisher that also publishes a comic titled "Archie Comics," but they publish other titles, too. Admittedly, I'm not sure how this would work, but thanks for any help you can give.

"Archie Comics & Related Fandoms" is already the metatag for Archie-the-comic and several other titles by Archie-the-publisher. So you can find all of them together if you look at the metatag feed.

Continued umbrella fandom tag woes

Now clicking on the fandom tag on my tiny/new fandom fic takes me not just to Music RPF, but to all Music RPF works instead of only Yuletide 2016 ones. What is happening.

There is some weird stuff going on with the tags in the collection. I've noticed that in one fandom, while shaking gifts, if you searched for "words>X", you'd suddenly get ALL fics in the collection with more than X words, instead of all fics in the collection for this fandom with more than X words.

It's not just that it's been less than 48 hours - it's what those 48 hours were. Christmas Eve and Christmas are the two busiest days of the year for many people. I'd expect a lot of comments to come through today, honestly, especially when people get home from work.

This fic was very confusing until I realized that the random names the characters keep throwing out are from a different canon that I've never seen. If you must write your crossover headcanons into giftfic, maybe label them next time?

The most common reason people use is that replying to comments before reveals means that anyone who left you a comment is unlikely to then check out your other fics. I know I do it if I remember liking the fic, but not often.

Technically it could be if the collection's owner was that much of an asshole, but in years and years they have never done that, so you should be safe.

Dubcon (lately with age gap).

I list dubcon as a DNW every year because I've found either it really works for me or it squicks the hell out of me and there's no guaranteeing which kind I'd get.
