I missed that discussion, but it's still not relevant here. No one in this thread is calling the guy a homophone for not wanting slash in their gift fic, we're all objecting to his "urgh, gross" way of phrasing it. Context etc. (Plus, anything can be an insta!default. Someone recently said if recip shipped one of their NOTPs (when they matched on something else), they'd default right away. Insta!default =/= calling someone homophobic/a bigot.)
