The rest of the exchange year...

...is worth wanking over, too.

Discuss Chocolate Box, Age Gap Exchange, Unusual Bearings, etc.

I cringe both at that anon and at the mod for wanting to use the symbols. I don't think it's ableism, I just think it's stupid and pretentious.

But the anon is super OTT

Yeah, I didn't get the point of the whole symbol thing either but it seemed pretty popular with the mod's follower base. Either way it's one hell of a dumb wank.

It's a little funny that ffa was critical over the confusing noms for OWO, and then ffa makes the noms for the consent issues exchange just as confusing.

xcons is hideous and it's hilarious that nonnies don't like "cons" because it reminds them of words like convicts. it's so ott.

Wasn't there also icon wank about the first noncon exchange? Or am I pulling that out of my ass?

I remember there was icon wank around the unusual bearings exchange. I think it included (though didn't start with?) an icon of Zeus as swan raping Leda?

Why are symbols pretentious? I thought the main point was saving space so you can fit more description into a tag.

(And I'm one of the people who liked 'xcons')

For me it isn't so much the symbols itself, but the mod's transparent refusal to consider not using them. Idk if it's pretentious but it's... certainly something.

... What would you call having a poll about whether people prefer to use them or something else, if not "considering not using them"?

DA

The mod is obviously manipulating the poll to prove that people prefer using symbols. /s
