I have an idea and a complete outline, which ... is basically where I was when I responded to the check-in post last time around. Maybe next year will finally be the year I've actually started writing by check-in time?

I am in a similar boat. I am actually close to done with a treat. And then I have to write my actual assignment, argh. Stupid.

No, hey, almost having a treat done is awesome, coalie! Here's hoping it serves as a great warm-up, and writing your assignment is that much easier for it. :D

I should've started earlier, but I had a couple other closer deadlines that I was focusing on. Hoping to dive in this weekend and get at least a couple thousand words down, though!

Coming along okay!

I tried a vague plot idea out on my friend, and whether I wasn't explaining it properly or it isn't a good idea, she was gently dubious. So I'm back to the drawing board on that one.

I have another story for this challenge I want to write this weekend. Fingers crossed.

I hear you! I also tried to write something that seemed okay in my head and just didn't come together on paper. Oh well. I know I can write 5k in a weekend easily, I just need to be inspired and have some quality writing time.
