I was looking at the spreadsheet and had a thought - Based on trends and the characters nominated, what do you think will be the prompts for XX fandom?

Based on the spreedsheet and anon memes, there's probably going to be a lot of tennis femslash sought after.

Oh gosh, I would be so happy. Like, it would be the best Yuletide ever, and I've had three great Yuletides!

I'm hoping some casual fans get sucked in by tennis fandom's enthusiasm and gushy comments, and (hopefully) our very excited prompts. I've seen a lot of "yay tennis femslash!" comments on FFA, so I'm hoping people actually request (& offer). It so rarely gets written, and yet there are SO many good dynamics for fic! We have great personalities, and there tons of bromances (sismances? that's a terrible word), and all sorts of awesome sports narratives, and women with all different body types (whatever your type is, you'll find it in tennis!), and canon lesbians, and a canon lesbian with the CUTEST BABY EVER omg, and friends who take friends out for bikini-sunbathing and dancing and getting drunk after said friend's fiance dumped her over the phone the week their wedding invitations went out (oh the evilness). I want all the gen, and the romance, and all the fluff, and all the drama, and all the plotty fic... ugh, I'm so excited for this Yuletide, and I really hope we get some fic. :D Or at least some prompts, 'cause I'm going to try to write treats for everyone who requests it. :D GIVE ME PROMPPPPPPTS.

DO!! It's awesome. :D I really need to write up a primer one of these days, with lots of hilarious pictures (because the WTA ladies are big on Twitter & Instagram, and they post some truly awesome pictures sometimes), and details about all the friendships and everything. Maybe I'll even find the time before signups end! I'll try. :D

Looks like the only two characters nominated for Cable & Deadpool are Cable and Deadpool. Since that's the main slash pairing for the fandom, I predict there will be slash prompts for those two.

I don't know much about predicting, but it's easy to tell the difference between grouped nominations where the ppl are coordinating vs people who are just nominating for what they want.

Cable/Deadpool is a popular Yuletide request. I love it, because nobody really writes Cable & Deadpool fic during the rest of the year anymore.

Do tell.

Coordinated nominations: 2-3 nominations sets with barely any character overlap resulting in a spread of almost an entire cast of mains and secondary mains.

Not coordinated: Lots of character overlap or maybe very specific nomination pattern like all the members of a gang from a secondary storyline in the second season, or only female characters, or only 2 characters while the second nomination set someone nominates the same ones and includes 2 others.

No Blind Al? No Bob? Next year someone needs to do some sort of ridiculous road trip request.

Next year I'm going to have to nominate Weasel and Shen Kuei, because srsly.

I'll confess: I read that and thought, "XX? What fandom is that? Damn, I'm out of touch."

And honestly, they'd probably have an adjective too if the '90s hadn't burnt us all out on words that begin with X- (the X-Men themselves were grandfathered in).
