Is the chat down or has it moved to another server? I can't connect to slashnet no matter how much I try.

the only way I can access is via the slashnet webclient. Any other client tells me I can't connect. Idk why

Guess I won't be going to the chat this year, then. Pity -- especially since I have no clue where else to find beta readers.

If later on you're still not able to get onto the chat, usually the publish a list of beta readers and the fandoms they're willing to read for in a spreadsheet. That's what I look through. Even if there is no one familiar with your fandom, there is usually a bunch of readers willing to do spag on anything or specific genres like sci-fi/etc.

I've found beta readers here before, coalie. Lots of us have YT-specific emails just for that purpose, and will beta at least for spag, even if you don't want to disclose the canon on the comm.

The wiki and a few other places list it as slashnet.net when it's actually .org
