I really, really hope someone writes A Place of Greater Safety fic. I'm especially hoping for Danton/Lucile/Camille. I'd offer it myself (I know at least one person who's requesting it!) but I'm way too intimidated by the canon and also don't have time to reread a 700 page novel before Yuletide.

Ah ha ha me too. I only read the book two months ago and already I find myself going "who ARE all these people?" This is also the year I once again wuss out of offering any Mary Renault books.

I actually only read it this past spring myself! It's ridiculous how little of it I retained. It's a great book, but damn is that thing dense with info about names/places/events.
