Did your favorite fandom get rejected because it was one fic over the limit?
Have you just fallen in love with a new fandom the day after nominations ended?
Or are you morbane?

(Anonymous) 2014-10-08 03:59 am (UTC)(link)Ooh, yeah, that's a fair point. I was thinking "quick to read" in terms of it being YA and not super long, but it is definitely not light and fluffy.

(Anonymous) 2014-10-08 08:56 am (UTC)(link)There's a sort of sequel, Rose Under Fire (some returning characters but the lead is new) which is also incredible but set mostly in a concentration camp where women are being experimented. Sooo that's not exactly a fun read either.

(Anonymous) 2014-10-08 02:02 am (UTC)(link)Our Mutual Friend - Charles Dickens
Imperial Radch Series - Ann Leckie (it's a series, but only 2 books, and I would expect there might be requests based only on the first book - I haven't read the second)
Re: Looking for canons to offer
(Anonymous) 2014-10-08 02:10 am (UTC)(link)Purposes of Love - Mary Renault
Both of those have canon femslash. Return to Night by the same author also has femslashy subtext and I know at least a couple of people who will probably request that pairing (Hilary/Lisa).

(Anonymous) 2014-10-08 02:44 am (UTC)(link)YA, and while there's a second book it's pretty well stand alone with just the first book. Femslash is basically canon. I didn't nominate it, but I'm thrilled to see it's in.

(Anonymous) 2014-10-09 09:31 am (UTC)(link)There are a few arcs through the series, especially later on, but the books definitely don't need to be read in order if you just want to get a grip on the characters and the feeling of the BSC in general. Endless, endless f/f possibilities.
