The new anime (Sailor Moon Crystal) got in, despite being apparently very very similar to older versions of the canon that are waaaaaaay over the limit.

Crystal has been a pretty much loyal adaptation to the manga. I know people are speculating about senshi/shitennou and idk, maybe things will really change at some point... But right now? It's simply Sailor Moon. It isn't a new version of the story.

I don't think there is much to say on it, though I am kind of laughing because everyone was saying that the Senshi/Shitenou was the big difference in SMC and then none of them were even nominated.

Original nominator according to the spreadsheet tried to nominate Senshi and Shittenou as a character each so that'd be why!
