Pollute the Air

Did your favorite fandom get rejected because it was one fic over the limit?
Have you just fallen in love with a new fandom the day after nominations ended?
Or are you morbane?

In the last post the idea came up to create a community where you can post your most shameful yuletide requests anonymously. Check out [community profile] youwantwhat

Very happy about the results! I loved seeing Gotham get in without stripping the "big characters" like Bruce, Alfred or Gordon (who are all waaaaay over the character limit but very different incarnations). It's going to be a good year for Batman fans.

I was a bit surprised to see Dark is Rising without Will Stanton.

I do miss Twisted Princesses. I always loved what people came up with for it. It was one of my yuletide favs, but I understand why it got booted under the fanworks rules.

The thing with Twisted Princesses is, there's nothing to stop people from requesting Disney Princesses, and then in their optional details asking for a dark AU ala the TP artset.

DA

That is true, but that also leaves the method of twisting up to the author (like making cinderella into a wereworlf or somehting) instead of going with the specific twists that Twisted Princess already created. If you've fallen in love with that specific twist you're unlikely to get it unless you are very specific in your letter, and then you'll get called out for requesting something so specific that the author clearly hadn't signed up for.
