It's pretty definite that that post was made by someone in chat at the time, and the comment in chat went:

if you're in EST or later, the *real* letters post is officially tomorrow!

so I'm guessing it was midnight EST, meaning letters were anywhere from 24 to 47 hours away.


The "team" also said the 17th in their earlier posts, right?

Yeah, on the 17th, after the tag set is finalized, so I suspect it's another 16h away at least.
