The fandom I hoped to match on, but it's a placeholder letter. Fingers crossed they update it soon!

Not only did I match on two fandoms for the very first time, I matched on two fandoms within the same GENRE, including the fandom of my heart that I've written for almost every Yuletide! And the other fandom request wasn't for the juggernaut ship I hate and made me waffle heavily about offering this at all!!

It's hard to imagine how this could have gone any better. I'm OVER THE MOON THRILLED and have half a dozen ideas already.

I don't disagree. I'm irritated that they did it not only to hurt people, but over a stupid fucking extra opt-in Yuletide post collecting letters. There's never a good reason for trans wank. This was an appalling reason.

The fandom I secretly most wanted to write! But I saw my recip's letter while I was browsing the letter app other day, and some of the prompts I liked best seem to have been removed since then... oh well, it's all still much better than my recip last year!

I'm really happy with mine! It's for a book I LOVED as a kid. No idea what I'm going to write yet...canon review, first, since it's been at least 13-14 years (HOW??).

Same here. And my dentist got someone who’s a serial non-commenter. I think I’ll get the assignments out of the way and focus on treats this year.

Main - Fandom I wanted, a letter that is currently locked but their details in the sign up are fine and for the first time in my entire exchange life, I have an idea I have been thinking about writing that has solidified based on what they mention liking, so I should be good to go.

Sock - Matched on the fandom I wanted least to write (and that has the least written about them in their sign up) BUT I know another one of their fandoms and their sparse details there actually really inspired me, so I'm going to write that one instead.

I never do an exchange without writing for a fandom I didn't offer and usually I don't sock up, so clearly the Yuletide gods wanted me to have my cake and eat it too by allowing me to write what I wanted and write an unoffered fandom.
