rabidsamfan just posted their drabble challenge as usual. I really wonder why all the other challenges are opt-in, where people interested in it can comment to the post -- but not this one. Instead you have to look like an asshole if you're not into 100-word "stories" by having to specifically say no in your letter.

General thread because it seems at least as useful as starting a thread by splitting it off by fandom.

Help me, o coal, to figure out if there's a specific name for the things I like.

So you've got self-torture, ok. Is there a more specific term for when the sub is torturing himself on the dom's orders?

And then I'm wondering about juxtaposition, like the sub is torturing himself while the dom pleasures him, or vice versa with the sub being ordered to masturbate or something while the dom punishes him.

Are there specific words for those things? Sometimes it seems like there's a term for absolutely everything in kink, but I don't know what to call these.

I signed up for a fandom that I'm pretty sure only 2-3 other people who do yuletide care about and they haven't signed up for it or any other fandom yet. I'm irrationally afraid that I chased them off from yuletide by signing up so early, especially because we used to be fandom acquaintances before they just stopped talking to me one day.
