karrenia_rune - they've never written me a gift, but they're mildly infamous on FFA for a variety of things, including having sometimes signed gifts with their username in the past before author reveals (though they seem to have cut that out recently, at least), failing to fulfill requests appropriately (writing pairing fic with an original character for a gen exchange, IIRC? Something along those lines), and ... let's just say I wish they had a better beta, if they're going to keep signing up for exchanges.

But as far as I know, they're a decent and earnest person who just doesn't really know what they're doing, and now I feel sort of petty. /o\ I would try to write them a good comment, though.

Yeah no, it was "Let the mods deal with them" and I was not that person, either.

Because they're a friend of mine, and I get sick of someone always bringing them up to be coal's whipping girl.

You're an enabler to an asshole and it's only a matter of time before she burns you too, but defending her on an anonmeme when she had the worst anonfail in the history of the comm is never going to be a good look. Scroll on if you can't handle it. People have their letters and fics dragged on here (something they have no control over and isn't their fault) and don't get as upset as you are over this. If they can scroll on when it's about them personally, you sure the fuck can too.
