Mark is gay. It's my head-canon that he was on a date with a cute guy during the robbery. He hides his preferences during the adventure in Greece. Whether he is out of the closet (before and/or after canon), whether other characters know or not, is up to you.

I'd love a story of post-canon Mark back in England trying to rebuild his life. Perhaps Nicola (or any other character from the book or movie)comes for a visit; perhaps Mark is trying to reconnect with an ex-boyfriend. Can be anything from slice-of-life to a completely new adventure. AUs okay. No rating preference.

DNW: Mark as twink, prissy, or fussy stereotype.

This book is a het romance, and almost anyone offering would surely have offered Nicola and Mark (or *maybe* one of the two other nominated friend characters). Nobody could have seen this coming. Technically within the rules, but I'm hella glad I didn't include the offer after all.
