One of the requests where I had offered any and all their prompts were for characters who weren’t nominated and they didn’t have anything for any of the nommed characters and just said do whatever you want. I would have no idea what to do with that because all the unnominated characters and prompts were not something I could have ever done. And apparently they did this with another fandom so I have pity for their author.

I'm scared this was me... but there were no characters at all nominated in at least one of the fandoms, and I missed the dates for nominations myself. The one that did have characters nominated, now I'm going to add more to my letter before I post it with some ideas for them, thank you for making me think about that...

That happened to me last year. I nominated A and B, there were no other characters nominated, and my recip requested any and but said that what they really wanted was fic about unnominated character C who was essentially their soulmate. It was a nightmare.
