No, you won't be matched to them. You have to be able to write all the characters the recipient requests for, so you'll have to match on all the characters.

Mine showed me that I have very specific taste in fandoms, which I honestly hadn't realised before. The majority of my requests had several things in common.

Bookmark folders

I barely ever use the bookmark folders in my browser, but now I have a nice YT2014 tab to go with the 2012 and 2013 ones that I...never deleted for some reason, to keep track of letters. I saw one that I think might be a coalie who got excited about a character in the same fandom as me? I dunno if I can do all of these justice but good to have some things I'm keeping my eye on, just in case. :)

Yep. All my requested ships are slash (and could also fit into the age difference thread), but I'd feel weird about linking to my own letter.

I don't know what I'm going to offer yet. There's one or two I think I could confidently pull off, but the other ones I've offered in years past have gotten too big or weren't nominated this time around (and I only thought to nominate what I would request, not offer!).

I enjoy it if everything is new, but I think it's fine to recycle a fandom section from last year (and everything else in the letter).

I'm requesting "any" for three of my six fandoms. For two of them, I really mean it. For the other, there are 13 nominated characters and I want fic dealing with... any of 11. So yeah, I'm taking my chances on getting paired with a writer who offered the other 2 (and I do have a couple of prompts they can use), but I'm okay with those odds.
