Nah. I might side eye them a little if they were asking for the only two white male characters in a very diverse canon, but I'd still write for them unless their letter was gross.

Rarepairs in Harry Potter used to be allowed. The spirit of Yuletide keeps changing.

Fandoms 1 or 2. If you get someone whose letter you disagree with - ODAO or default.

A few people dropped by my letter last year and it made me really happy. We just exchanged a few comments, we didn't become lifelong friends or anything, but it was really fun to talk about our weird, tiny fandoms together.

The people I want to write for haven't signed up yet and I'm being ridiculously paranoid about how maybe they've changed their minds!!!

I'm a little confused, do you have to sign up for Yuleporn? I thought it was just a post where people link to their letters if they also like porn?

I feel your pain. Was going to nominate an obscure fairy tale but totally forgot to do so. I miss the days of Fairy Tales and Associated Fandoms, then I could probably sneak it in there.

I don't even know what "culturally/Ideologically offensive subjects" in a DNW section means. Also good luck getting any of those "bittersweet endings that hurt so good" you want when angst and drama and downer endings all appear on the list of subjects that you tell us would obliterate your ability to enjoy a fic.

That letter is ridiculous. Half the things in the DNWs are things that the canons they requested are BASED ON. You hate character death and angst and gratuitous violence but you want fic about stories where teenagers get locked into a school or island together and gruesomely murder each other? How did you even get through the source materials?

Discworld Ankh-Morpork ones. Mostly to see if I have to change my offer to avoid the Vetinari/Vimes-slash *shudders* Strangely, if it's Vetinari/Sybil/Vimes it's totally fine...

I can understand wanting fluffy fic for not so fluffy canons but one of her prompts actually is a Naegi as the mastermind AU and that pretty much involves gruesome murders by default, so...

Yes, a lot of people did it that way last year. They put their pornier/kinkier prompts prompts in the post, with a link to their letter which had gen or more vanilla shippy prompts. That way authors/treat writers could look if they were interest in pornier stuff or ignore it if they weren't.

Fandom 1: C and B unless your enemy is requesting them. If they are you might want to avoid the fandom all together. If you match on the person only requesting C just give them a gen fic about C. If they wanted C/A and C/D they should have requested the other characters.

Fandom 2: A and B. If someone isn't into A/B the chances they request both characters are low. You'll have to write A gen, B gen or A/B.

Fandom 3: A and B. Same deal as Fandom 2. You'll have to write gen about one of the two characters or the pairing.

Fandom 3: B and D or A and C. Basically you don't want any combo where you could potentially be matched on A/B or C/D.

Jesus christ. I was looking out for Lovecraft mythos letters in the hopes of writing a treat, but... yeah, I don't think that's going to happen.

But the point of Yuleporn is just for extra treats, right? Because my author will presumably just read my normal letter.

When I made my request I thought this meant "wizards who are young," I didn't know it was an actual series. If we matched on this fandom, please just default, sorryyyyy! If you want to write me Merlin/Harry Potter though that would be awesome, as long as it's cute Merlin from the TV show and not the old guy from those rip-off stories.

I picked "any" because I forgot about nominations and didn't get to nominate the characters I wanted: the pigeon in Downtown L.A. and the pigeon in Tribeca. I just have such a kink for cross-country pigeon romance! If you can't write them, I'd be very happy with fic about any of the nominated characters, as long as you include some pigeons, and maybe them playing matchmaker for those pigeons?

I like this game but not how creepy and weird it is. If you write an AU where London is above ground and is just a normal city and nothing weird or creepy ever happens, I'd love you forever! Unless your fic is bad.

I really want a fic where someone pops Andy's head back like a pez dispenser and fucks his weird saggy throat. Maybe that someone is George Washington? Extra points if George Washington is also a pigeon.
