But the point of Yuleporn is just for extra treats, right? Because my author will presumably just read my normal letter.

Original OP here. No, that's not necessarily true. If that was the case I wouldn't really have this problem. Last year I saw a couple of main giftfics with author notes along the lines of "I saw you were into Yuleporn as well, so here's something smutty for you!"

So it could very well end up being for more than just treats. And I don't think you should assume your assigned writer won't see the Yuleporn post.

Okay, but your author will still have a look at your letter and see that you said "porn is good, but no PWP". I mean, wanting porn in your fic doesn't necessarily mean that you ONLY want porn.

Yes, that's very true. But that's exactly my conundrum! If I do write something like that, isn't it a contradiction to singing up for Yuleporn? I've gotten the impression that it's mainly for shorter fics with a focus on sexy stuff, rather than plotty fics with a possible sex scene. Know what I mean?

Maybe I'm just not explaining myself very well here, sorry!

No, I see your point. But I wouldn't think it's a problem since signing up for Yuleporn is not some binding, obligatory thing that means that you'll be assigned to someone who only wants to write porn. It's just to share your porny prompts with the world, right?
