I don't know the fandom at all but that did strike me as a weird and offputting choice of words.

If it were Tony/Felix I would be more ok with it. I mean its not even a relationship, really, it's a hookup that spans more than one episode and has a huge lube scene that BDP ruins.

To be honest, the whole thing sort of confuses me. I've always had the impression that it was based mostly off of chat? If so, you can sign into chat under any handle, there's no reason you have to use your AO3 or LJ name, so wouldn't it make more sense to opt-in chat names? Or am I missing something?
