(Anonymous) 2014-10-19 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)Two old schoolfriends wind up trying to solve the murder of another former classmate's father... who seems to have been killed by an enchanted candlestick. Julian's a private detective. Ned's a "metaphysicist" (this is Victorian London with some added magic). Together they fight crime! While also trying to work out their "how do we keep winding up in bed together?" relationship.
Really good/hot shippy book, but also a gripping mystery and great worldbuilding. (I think the way the magic is conceived of is pretty cool.)
An ebook edition is the way to go, pricewise, if you can. You can get it in PDF or epub format via the publisher's site (http://lethepressbooks.com/gayspecfic.htm#scott-griswold-death-by-silver). *should get a 10% cut* But yeah, totally worth the paperback price too, imho.
