...well, that's getting dropped from my offers. The requester clearly doesn't know much about how mental illness is regarded in Japan -- the shame and stigma surrounding it is leaps and bounds worse than it is in any Western country. Hell, a lot of the basic SSRIs and other standard drugs, like Prozac, aren't even available in Japan as possible prescriptions. For serious mental illnesses (like schizophrenia), you don't get drugs or therapy so much as you get sent to a locked psychiatric ward for electroshock treatments, if you're lucky.

(Strong feelings on this: one of my friends who works in Japan has had two of his co-workers kill themselves in the last four years, and untreated manic depression was the overriding cause in both cases. People suffer in silence for years because there often isn't any kind of support structure in place for them, and suicide is the usual way out.)

I can understand wanting darkfic, but the expression here leaves a lot to be desired.
