The Dirty Energy Source

Do you want to make a spreadsheet about spreadsheets?
Do you still need to figure out what two other fandoms you should request beside the only one you really want fic for?
Or are you trolling ALL the letter posts for placeholders, just so you can write those people some nice, dry coal?

We want to know all about it.

Wook preferred one of two fanon names for a character who didn't have a canonical first name. She explicitly wrote in her DYW that she was on the side of fandom that preferred name X rather than name Y if the author HAD to include the character's first name.

The author wrote a line in specifically stating that the character's name was Y and X was only his middle name.

Wook did't flip her shit, but did call the author out on that being a pretty shitty thing to do in an exchange after the author came into her journal to confront her.

Wasn't the author only in her journal in the first place because Wook was bitching about the fic without even bothering to friendslock?

Goddamnit, I'm going to have to reread the wank to have a proper opinion on this, aren't I?

na

If I remember right, it was one of those vague posts that completely called someone out but without naming them - and the author came to defend herself, as it was obviously about her.

You probably will. I remember being on the hateboner side in previous years, but when I re-read it this year.... well, wook's certainly no charmer and she's got a pretty terrible attitude, but the author in that situation was way more of an asshole.
