Shelter is hideously boring. It's the gay version of one of those movies where a Strong Female Character cleans up after her loser relatives but finds a Supportive Boyfriend who will stand by her. My least favorite genre ever! *snore*

OTOH, it's nice to see that people are making the gay version of that boring genre. If you like family drama, it's a well-made one, and you'll probably love it. (It's the genre that bores me, not the specific execution here.)

ILU, shelter-hating coalie. I haven't watched the movie for the very reasons you mention, but all my friends keep insisting that it's so wonderful and I have to watch and I'll just LOVE it and...no. Fuck off, I'm not telling you again.
