The Dirty Energy Source
Do you want to make a spreadsheet about spreadsheets?
Do you still need to figure out what two other fandoms you should request beside the only one you really want fic for?
Or are you trolling ALL the letter posts for placeholders, just so you can write those people some nice, dry coal?
We want to know all about it.

Re: 5-Minute Fandoms
(Anonymous) 2014-10-23 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)I feel like I used to see the advice "add a 5-minute to your requests to give your author another option if they sour on the fandom you were matched on" a lot more than I have recently and I'm glad because it's really stupid advice. Like everything else, only request it if you really do want to see fic for it. I feel like some people stick those kinds of fandoms into their requests, but then don't have any prompts so I'm wary of offering a lot of 5-min fandoms.

(Anonymous) 2014-10-23 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)I agree about that "request a 5-minute fandom as a safety fandom!" advice. It works if you actually really like that 5-minute fandom, but you could also work with something fairly short like a movie.
