Pretty sure the more embarrassing part is the 1 request and 2 offers. The rest seems okay to me. But I think that's the issue, what crosses the line on what people see as 'using fanish interest' is going to vary person to person'.

Wait, but the book isn't even OUT yet? That strikes me as pretty odd. I've no problem with the self-pub part, but TV shows / movies that hadn't aired weren't allowed in...

It was released already to the backers on the Kickstarter as an ebook. So people have read it, I'm pretty sure the people offering to write have a copy.
