I'm fretting over the fact that the treat I'm writing is currently three times as long as the fic I wrote for my recip, and it's only halfway done.

I don't think that's so weird. A lot of people write treats longer than their assignments because treats are written for prompts you picked rather than prompts you were assigned.

It's actually that mindset that has me fretful. I was really inspired by one of my recip's prompts, the fic just worked a lot better as something quick and concise. The treat's AU, so it requires more setup.

Logically I know there's no reason to worry, but there's a part of my brain that's insistently going 'but what if this person thinks I hated their prompt?'

If it's any comfort, I usually don't even check if my writer has also written any treats (unless those treats are relevant to my interests anyway, in which case I'll just be happy they exist).

+1 I read from the fandom page, so I would never notice unless it was in my fandom and then I would be happy to see more fic in my fandom.
