(Anonymous) 2015-10-25 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)That one letter made me nostolgic and inspired so I did a rewatch. I still ship Kyle/Marcus but Kyle/John was so there to creepy levels. John was jealous of Marcus and how much Kyle liked him, was obsessed with finding Kyle, he was willing to do dubconnish things to take away Kyle's choices when it came to leaving John, and was reverent of Kyle's existsnce...which Kyle reciprocated. I'm all for either of the Kyle ships or Marcus/Kyle/John where they barely tolerate each other but are in it for the Kyle.
Them being Anton Yelchin and Christian Bale certainly doesn't hurt. The aesthetics and age gap in Salvation works better for me than it did it Genysis, with no offense meant to Varro from Spartacus.
