I mean, I have no problem with the concept of 'don't be a kinkshamey jerk' either, but the way they thought it should be solved was by everyone dancing around it trying to be as delicate as possible because just saying "no D/s" might hurt someone's feefees, which is ridiculous. Flat stating that you don't want something is not kinkshaming, and they're claiming it is, which is people's problem with the post. And the comment I linked mentions that the person *had* attempted to be sensitive about it and say "not my cup of tea" instead of a flat no once, and it was misinterpreted as not being a 100% DNW and they got the thing anyway.

ohhhh i think the comment link somehow didn't go through when i looked the first time, or i didn't notice. that is... gross. i have a DNW which i was too polite about in years past and ended up getting a whole DNW-centric fic, so now my DNW list contains some CAPSLOCK, which is much more aggressive than "no D/s". yeah, ok, in that context, i see what you mean. :3
