Yeah, I'm in the same boat--it just seems sort of tacky to comment to the IF post when none of your prompts particularly lend themselves to it because you're bad at having ideas.

As someone who wants to write IF, I don't think it's tacky at all. The post is for "I would enjoy this style of story," not "I have a prompt crafted directly to this style of story." Most of the IF treats I want to write are drawing on general themes people said they liked, not responding to specific prompts.
