Has anyone ever been matched to a great letter that was never linked in the DYW letters thread?

Because I never had luck with those. They were always short or weird.

Yes, in three out of the five past years I've done Yuletide, the letters haven't been in the post. One I would have avoided if it had been. The other two were fine.

There is at least one person on my flist who has posted a letter that has not been linked (she didn't add it to the posts). A few years ago I wrote a pinch hit and the letter link was in the sign-up, but the letter hadn't been linked anywhere. Both these letters aren't weird - I can't speak to length as they are not hugely long but that's okay with me.
