Sounds like it's for a canon interaction and not just shoe-horned in, but I don't know this fandom. I guess it could be suspicious but I'm not sure whether this would count as a subtle or not subtle attempt.

Not subtle - they obviously know Wolverine is too big for Yuletide and should have found a way to prompt around him. There's no need to include him even in The Wolverine film. There are both pre and post canon possibilities that don't have to involve Wolverine at all.

Look, if the Wolverine movie is eligible then it's just idiotic to act like everyone in the fandom has to tiptoe around the existence of the fricking main character. This isn't even a rare characters exhange.

If it's the type of movie where the main character is SO central that you can't write the fandom without them, then it really shouldn't have been nommed, considering Wolverine is ineligible.

Well, at this point I'm just rubbernecking because someone left them a testy comment. I'm conflicted. On one hand, I agree that Wolverine isn't in the spirit of Yuletide. On the other, I don't need people publicly speaking on my behalf. I can troll by myself. Thanx.
