3 of 5 of the Maze Runner (Movie) prompts are for book canon. Like, post-end-of-book stories, but with no mention that that's what she's referencing (perhaps because she knows it's sketchy, perhaps because she can't imagine anyone offering this w/out knowledge of the books?). And I'm sure a lot of people have read the books, but there have to be people who will not understand what she's getting at and also, it's definitely not the canon requested.

One of the remaining 2 prompts, by the way, is a prompt for a Teen Wolf cross-over, so I guess she's just not into the spirit of a rare fandom challenge all around.

Are those quotes from the books? I hate prompts like this where they give you a disembodied quote but don't explain what it means to them, it leaves too much room for a major difference in interpretation.

they're not book quotes. I think they're dialogue snippets she wrote as prompts, but they 100% align with the book ending and have no corresponding context in the movies, since they reference things the movies dropped from the books and/or haven't gotten to the end yet.

I've seen people use them as part of fandom headers, like a moment from fandom they like. I get a kick out of that, but to just use them as a prompt alone is just...odd.

Isn't she also the one who wanted five million fandoms on the Crueltide post? And asks for fandoms where she doesn't actually know that version of the canon?

AND complains about being a late pinch hit?

And wants to write treats for prompts where she "doesn't know the canon"?

oh wow. and she justifies it by saying she's trying to be fair to her author which doesn't match up with this request issue. what a delight.

Wow, at Crueltide she mentioned "no explicit sex involving females", a commenter mentioned that that wasn't in her letter, she said she'd edit it in right away, and it's still not in there

Or does she mean she likes it if it's canon typical but not... gratuitously additional rape and violence...
