True, that. My Yuletide fic has always been popular in direct correlation to how popular the fandom is. On the other hand, when I write for really obscure fandoms, I tend to get much longer and more enthusiastic comments, even if I get fewer comments overall. So I like to think that the intensity of the reaction makes up for the small quantity.
