I'm grumpy because I usually receive between 4 and 6 treats and this year: nothing. Just my main gift. Which i love, but I'm used to QUANTITY, too, damn it.

(I realize this is like complaining the streets are paved with yellow gold when I wanted rose gold instead.)

If it helps at all, I really like your analogy? (I would be disappointed, too, though last year I got only a short Madness treat and this year got nothing at all in terms of treats.)

This is the first year I haven't gotten at least a little Madness ficlet and it's bumming me out too. And my recip hasn't commented yet, so it's starting to feel like the law of averages has finally caught up with me.
