There were so few Diana Wynne Jones fics this year! This is like the only time of year that people ever write for her stuff and there's usually a ton, so it was such a bummer (although what was there was great). Hopefully there will be more next year; when I saw there was no Dalemark fic I was so mad.

Part of it is because no one wants to risk offering/requesting Howl's Moving Castle and getting matched with Untherius (again).

Except DWJ wrote so many other (...and better COME AT ME) books than HMC, so the risk wasn't that high.

How very dare you! HMC is the best book DWJ ever wrote.

Except for Homeward Bounders.
And Hexwood.
And Tale of Time City, Fire and Hemlock, Power Of Three, some of the Dalemark Quartet but I'm not sure which, Deep Secret, most of the Chrestomanci books published in years that don't begin with a 2...

It's among the best books DWJ ever wrote.

And the Ogre Downstairs.

But probably not A Sudden Wild Magic.

I know! And now it's nearly Jan and I feel like my DWJ fic is over for another year :-(

We really need even a semi-active fic comm or something. (I looked.. the LJ hasn't been updated in 6 months)
