I think mods should absolutely look for pickles/lorem ipsum/copypasta/1000 word fic thate ends like Candlejack. Anything deeper than that they'd have to have an actual subteam of mods for, which could get pretty unwieldy and is, you're right, probably unfeasi

They do have a subteam of mods, though? That's what the tagmods are for, if I'm correctly reading the Jan 1 thank-you-note post correctly. Didn't several of them say in chat when they were checking for placeholders?

I wish there was a pop-up icon or a "ding" sound or something every time someone says "oh hi morbane" and it actually is her.

They took away the feature from the old site that gave you stars and stuff when you posted your fic and told you what number you were, so....
