It's an awesome novel, and IIRC it began as a CYOA thing, but really it's intended that you read each ending in order, because the whole picture builds as you get information from each one. So it's not so much a "pick an ending" as "these are possible endings which inform each other". (Which I really love!)

That sounds even better. I love CYOA, but the endings building on each other to deepen the story is a great, clever idea. Thank you for telling me about it!

Oh yeah, each of the endings just tells you more about what's happening in the house. If the main character never discovers what happened in the library it doesn't mean what happened in the library didn't happen. It's still going on, Jane just doesn't know about it if she doesn't follow that path.

This is one of the things I love about thr book! Each ending just gives us more info about everyone in the house, all their secrets, and what is going on. It builds on itself and the reader slowly gets more info than Jane and it's brilliantly done.
