well its a pre-ffnet/lj fandom. i bet most of the fic were in zines and single fandom archives. pair that with the fear of lawsuits and ffnet probably purging a lot of stuff after the ratings rule and viola small fandom

I don't think ffnet would have had a lot to purge. The fandom is simply not allowed on the site.

I'm certain that the fandom technically falls within the requirements in the yuletide rules. I'm just a little surprised.

Honestly, I think it was more of a mailing list/website fandom than a zine one, but Anne went after it aggressively in the 90s, driving the fandom underground. You won't find easily-accessible fic, not even on single fandom archives.
