Vagueblog about the worst likelihood that could turn up in your inbox, and the best!

Worst: They only want Awesome Ladies Kicking All The Ass gen and requested one character with no comments about relationships/friendships.

Best: They want my rare ship in a certain fandom that probably won't be eligible next year.

Worst: All they want is either kid fic or case fic.

Best: I get to write frenemy father and son fic.

Best: They ship my ship, they want casefic, they share my likes. There are a bunch of requests like this for the fandoms I offered, so here's hoping.

Worst: They didn't put up a letter, so I didn't know to avoid them. They're requesting Nominated Character/Unnominated Character and it's a ship that really squicks me. Their only prompt is porn for their ship, and their requests suggest that they will be watching the PH list and will be suicidally depressed if they show up there again, or if their author goes ODAO.

Worst: someone who only wants sibcest

Best: someone who wants whump + plot

Worst: that request I couldn't see because no one's put up letters in my fandoms

There is no worst, because I only offered fandoms that had letters up for each request. I was a little nervous someone new would sign up in the last few hours with a request I couldn't write, but that didn't happen.

Best is that I match to the person who managed to prompt something I'd already been working on, and I get to write them the very specific, very niche thing we were both somehow dreaming of.

Worst: Probably that person who didn't want sibcest for that one children's canon.

Best: The person who wants sibcest in that one children's canon! Or the person who likes exactly the same things I like about that other canon. Or some other request I haven't seen, because like half of them have no letters.

I hope I was assigned to you, coalie. :D

I have a few mystery letterless requests I could match to, so among those:

Worst:

1) No prompts. I'm usually full of my own ideas for fandoms, but for some of these canons that are very self-contained or surreal, I could really use some idea of what my recip wants.

2) They want an AU where the canon noncon ship is healthy and happy, or the canon incest ship is unrelated, or...you get the point.

Best: Basically anything else! The worst scenarios are pretty unlikely, and I'm so happy that other people are requesting these fandoms. I'll be happy to write them. <3

Best: 1,1 offer for a very, very niche canon I picked up just to offer

Worst: nothing! I think I'm pretty safe in all of my offers, and whether there are ODs or not I feel capable of whipping Something (TM) up this year

Worst: Based on what I offered, misuse of any. For all of my offers, it's either a canon ship, or I can see all the letters so I know they ship the characters. I shouldn't be stuck writing gen.

Best: Crime boyfriends or post-canon fix-it.

Most of the requests for my fandoms do not currently have letters, but out of what I can see:

Best: Either that letter from fandom A that gives me free reign to write the weird AU of my heart or that letter from five minute fandom B that loves all the same things about the premise I do and has fun prompts.

Worst: That letter from ongoing fandom C that is only interested in a very specific aspect that is almost certainly going to be covered by canon, possibly in the very near future.

I might have written that letter in fandom C! If I did, I recently edited it to add more prompts for fandom C, and may be revising it more before the end of this month.

Worst: awesome ladies being invincible and perfect and unbelievable

Best: lots of lesbians!

Worst: I get someone wanting a certain (unnominated) villain ship or someone who wants parent/child incest. Those are my squicks and I'll be super bummed if I have to default.

Best: I get matched in the tiny fandom of my heart and they don't request the above. I can pretty much write them *anything* else and be happy for it. The want another villain ship, I can handle it. Sibling incest? Sure thing! Literally anything else will make this the best Yuletide in years.

Optional details are optional. You don’t have to write any ships and you certainly don’t have to include unnominated characters.
