for general talk, idk make friends? my locked twitter is me an 80 other friends who have exactly what you’re looking for. i dont think it’s possible to have that in an anon space even with mods. maybe an aggressivly maintained lgbt subreddit? idk

I just looked and right now the FFA Yuletide thread still has people talking about biological determinism and how trans people are the real gender essentialists. I guess what I was hoping for really isn’t possible to maintain.

Yeah, you're right. Sorry but it's just unrealistic to expect a community that is thoughtful and kind towards social justice issues but also wants to anonymously stir shit about a fanfiction exchange. Not because everyone in the latter group is anti-SJ or anything like that, but because by nature a community like this will attract some unsavory sorts and most of us here would rather just ignore them and have a more active community than move to a more heavily moderated community that also might ban some wank we find amusing.
